The Strnad Fellowship at University School

Brainchild of Mr. James J. Strnad, class of 1942, the Strnad Fellowships in Science were established at University School in October, 1968. Originally intended to stimulate and recognize independent creative research in science well beyond the curriculum, the fellowships were extended in scope in the fall of 1981 to embrace advanced creative inquiry not just in science, but in all fields of intellectual endeavor.
